My name is Nandrianina, my current research is about producing the first direct measurement of the galaxy velocity function (VF) beyond of z=0, out to z=0.5 from the LADUMA (Looking At the Distant Universe with the MeerKAT Array) large survey project. The project will focus on combining HI observation with state-of-the-art numerical simulations in order to determine the reliability with which dynamical measurements of galaxies can be extracted from the LADUMA data. I work under the supervision of Dr. Ed Elson, Prof Andrew Baker, and Prof. Roy Maartens.
