Melis Irfan

I am a post-doctoral research fellow at the Centre for Radio Cosmology, UWC. I currently work on the MeerKLASS intensity mapping survey which uses the MeerKAT telescope array in single-dish mode. I completed my PH.d at Jodrell Bank in the United Kingdom working on a single-dish radio astronomy project and spent my first post-doctoral position at the CEA, Paris working on the component separation of diffuse Galactic emissions from cosmological signals of interest. I am interested in interstellar-medium physics as well as cosmology and excited by the prospect of exploring both using MeerKAT.
