I am a first year Masters student at UWC under the supervision of Dr Michelle Lochner. The title of my research is ‘Application of anomaly detection techniques to astrophysical transients’. We are aiming to use machine learning techniques to detect anomalies (rare or new transients) in astronomical data. I am interested in the application of machine learning and data science on astronomical data using Python programming language.
